New projects
Adjustment qualification for physicians
The association Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. offers adjustment qualification for unemployed physicians from non-EU countries in Weimar. Participants of this program have already finished their professional training as doctor in their home country. In order to practice as a physician in Germany they must pass a verification of equivalency test before Landesärztekammer (State Board of Physicians) The adjustment qualification prepares the participants for this examination by determining and broadening their specialist knowledge and teach German medical terms as well as colloquial language. Physicians are trained in various subject-specific seminars in the fields of internal and surgical disorders as well as emergency and accident medical aid. Furthermore, they are made familiar with the structures of German healthcare. During an internship in the field of internal medicine and surgery they get to know German standards. Additionally, all participants attend an integration-specific employment application and communication training. Afterwards, they can integrate more easily into the job market.
